The police chief shall be the department head of the police department. His appointment, termination and supervision shall be by the city administrator. The chief of police shall be responsible for management of all law enforcement policies and supervision of all law enforcement personnel in providing patrols, investigations, regulation of traffic, and all other aspects of law enforcement responsibilities otherwise exercised by the police department.
