Chapter 2.04 POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS
2.04.010 Establishment of police department.
2.04.020 The chief of police shall be department head.

2.04.010 Establishment of police department.
The police department of the city of Travelers Rest is established to
exercise all duties and responsibilities under Chapter 2.08, Law Enforcement, of
Title 2, Public Safety, of this code. (Ord. O-10-93 § 2 (part),

2.04.020 The chief of police shall be department head.
The police chief shall be the department head of the police department.
The police chief shall be supervised by the city administrator, but shall be
appointed and terminated by council action only. The chief of police shall be
responsible for management of all law enforcement policies and supervision of
all law enforcement personnel in providing patrols, investigations, regulation
of traffic, and all other aspects of law enforcement responsibilities otherwise

2.04.030 Establishment of fire department.
The fire department of the city of Travelers Rest is established to
exercise all authority and responsibility under Chapter 2.12, Fire Prevention
and Protection, of Title 2, Public Safety of this code. (Ord. O-10-93

2.04.040 The fire chief shall be department head.
The fire chief shall be the department head of the fire department. The
fire chief shall be supervised by the city administrator, but shall be appointed
and terminated by council action only. The fire chief shall be responsible for
management of all fire department policies and supervision of all fire
department personnel in inspecting for fire safety, responding to fires, such
first responder/emergency medical technician duties as may from time to time be
established for the fire department, and all other aspects of fire prevention
and fire protection responsibilities otherwise exercised by the fire department.
